What’s Cooking With Marilyn ?

 This recipe is one featured in our own cookbook –                                    “A Taste of Lavender

 

 Lavender Fairy Cookies

½ cup butter

1 cup sugar

 2 eggs

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon ground ginger

1 Tablespoon lavender flowers, finely chopped

1½ cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Cream butter and sugar
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  4. Stir in the dry ingredients until well blended.
  5. Using a teaspoon, drop mix into ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake 8-10 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly on baking sheet before transferring to plates.
